The storage unit is capable of holding approximately five years of full resolution video, audio, and thought stream data. When space runs low you have the option of either allowing the automatic systems to locate and compress the least accessed memories or you can offload memories to a computer system. Memories can also be automatically offloaded to your computer system while you sleep in order to ensure that you always have enough storage space at your disposal. When a memory has been offloaded onto a computer system a descriptive marker of the memory remains so that you know it exists and can access it when in range of the computer system holding the memory. If you encounter something that you would rather not remember you can hide select memories through a computer console.
